Former Cop & J&K Apni Party District President Bla Khursheed Khan passes away

Srinagar: Former Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) and Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party District President Baramulla Khursheed Ahmad Khan, popularly known as KK, passed away here on Monday evening. He was 63.

A close family member told GNS that Khan had not keeping well for over a year now, however, his condition aggravated drastically last week following which he was taken to SKIMS Soura. “After remaining admitted there for all these days, he eventually breathed his last this evening,” he said.

Khan, an actual resident of Ladu-Ladoora, was currently residing at Sherwani Colony Khawaja Bagh Baramulla.

Notably, the departed cop turned politician is the father of incumbent Tehsildar Handwara Zeeshan Khan and brother-in-law of senior lawyer & ex-president of Bar Association Rafiabad Advocate Tariq Ahmad Khan and Assistant Commissioner Nazool Nasir Mehmood Khan.

The funeral prayers for the departed soul will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday.
