Srinagar: Police have arrested a drug peddler in Kulgam and recovered contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesperson informed Saturday.
He said during checking at Wanpora crossing, police chased and apprehended Sartaj Ahmad Bhat, son of Mohammad Ramzan Bhat of Muqdampora, Qaimoh. He was arrested after 100 grams of cannabis-like contraband substance was recovered from his possession.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Qaimoh for investigation, police said.
