Police attach property of drug peddler in Sopore

Srinagar: Police have attached the property of a “notorious” drug peddler in village Reban area of Sopore, a police spokesperson informed Wednesday.

Police in Sopore attached a residential house valued at approximately Rs 16 lakhs and 10 marlas land valued at approximately Rs 5 lakhs located in village Reban in Sopore, under the NDPS Act 1985. The property belongs to “notorious” drug peddler Mohammad Ashraf Ganie, son of Ghulam Rasool Ganie of Reban Sopore.

“Said property was acquired by the accused from the gains of selling drugs. The inquiry revealed that the said immovable property was raised and used for Illicit trafficking by the drug peddler,” police said.
