2 persons injured in bear attack in Ganderbal

Srinagar: Two persons were injured after being attacked by a bear in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district last night, news agency Kashmir Scroll reported.

It quoted an official as saying that two persons — Mushtaq Ahmad and Wahid Ahmad, residents of Kalakote Rajouri, presently living in Anderwan Lar — were injured after they were attacked by a bear in the Anderwan Lar area on Monday night.

They were shifted to the hospital for treatment where their condition is said to be stable.

Meanwhile, locals have requested wildlife authorities to look into the matter.
