Rajouri: Mian Altaf Ahmed, former minister and NC candidate from Anantnag- Rajouri Parliamentary constituency on Sunday said that the very creation of the National Conference was meant to provide justice to poor, scheduled caste, scheduled tribes and other underprivileged sections of society and looking into the track record of this ‘aboriginal’ party of J&K, no one can deny that it always remained steadfast in providing succour to the needy.

The NC leader was addressing a public meeting here at Dhangri in Rajouri district. In the meeting, Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President JKNC, Jammu, Ch Liaqat, DDC Chairman Rajouri Naseem Liaqat, Manzoor Malik, DDC Dhangri Th Rameshwar Singh, Vijay Lochan, Th. Yashu Varhdan Singh, Rakesh Singh Raka, Deeraj Sharma and Joginder Singh.

Mian Altaf Ahmed categorically said that the National Conference is the party of poor, weaker sections, farmers and underprivileged sections of society which always stood for their rights and cause. He said that people have by now understood well that no other party can ensure their welfare like the National Conference and therefore NC’s wave is being witnessed not only in the Anantnag-Rajouri parliamentary constituency but all across the Jammu and Kashmir leading to restlessness among its opponents.

Main Altaf said that those sitting at the helm these days are indifferent towards the poor strata of society as under their rule inflation is touching the ceiling, jobs have vanished, no policy for youth, and a handful of recruitment processes have been entangled in corruption cases, industry is on crutches, and peace for which the incumbents are trumpeting from each forum is also in tatters as terrorism graph is up again, especially in Poonch, Rajouri and other districts of Jammu region.
