Srinagar: Police in Kulgam have arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesperson informed Monday.
He said near ARTO office Kulgam, one Aaqib Hussain Bhat, son of Abdul Rashid Bhat, resident of Laisoo, Guddar, was arrested after 3.2 kgs of poppy straw was recovered from his possession.
A case under section 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Kulgam for investigation, he said.
