Srinagar: Two persons went missing while seven others were rescued after a boat capsized in a river in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday, officials said.
Sources said that a boat carrying nine people capsized in river Jhelum at Hatiwara area of Awantipora in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district following which seven persons were rescued while two others are missing.
Sources further said that the SDRF teams, police and locals have started the operation to rescue the two missing persons.
Last month, a boat capsized in the river at Gangbal area of the city here, killing seven persons, while two others went missing.
