Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah said that the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh have rejected the unconstitutional and undemocratic decisions of August 5, 2019, and on June 04, the whole world will get a message that these decisions are unacceptable to all of us.

He made these comments while addressing back-to-back election rallies in Rozaball Park in Khanyar and Aali Kadal in Habba Kadal.

The party’s nominated candidate Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi, party general secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar and women’s wing president Shameem Firdous also addressed the gatherings. District President Srinagar Peer Afaq Ahmed, YNC Provincial President Salman Ali Sagar, Provincial President Women’s Wing Er Sabia Qadri and Block Presidents were also present in the programs.

Dr. Farooq Abdullah in his address said, “By the decisions of 5th August 2019, the individuality, identity and unity of Jammu and Kashmir was destroyed but the people here never accepted these decisions. In 1931, we started a movement to free people from the bondage of slavery. Similarly, we will continue to fight for our rights snatched from us undemocratically.”

He said that BJP has not only abolished Article 370 and 35A but these people also want to destroy the constitution of the country, these people want to see one colour in the country which is a threat to the integrity and freedom of the country. He said that the BJP government could not give any kind of relief to the people in 10 years, and that’s why today the leading leaders of this party have been forced to seek votes by spreading religious hatred.

Dr Farooq Abdullah said that inflation is on the rise. “A gas cylinder which used to cost Rs 500 is priced at Rs 1100. The price of petrol and diesel have skyrocketed while unemployment is on the rise. BJP claimed 2 crore jobs will be provided every year, according to this the Modi government had to provide 20 crore jobs in 10 years of government. Where are these jobs? Big claims of providing jobs and employment were also made in Jammu and Kashmir but in the last 5 years, the unemployment rate has broken all records. Currently, 15 lakh highly educated unemployed people are sitting at home and crossing the age bar,” he said.

Dr. Farooq Abdullah said that non-local officers have been appointed in the Secretariat and other offices, who are ignorant of the history, mood of the people, geographical situation and other issues. People are being treated like slaves.

He said that the National Conference has been raising its voice against this injustice at every stage and it is the responsibility of the people here to ensure the success of the candidates of the National Conference to give strong representation to the voice of the people here.
