Srinagar: Two brothers from DH Pora were killed after being hit by a truck vehicle in the Khudwani area along the Jammu-Srinagar national highway in south Kashmir’s Kulgam on Friday.

An official said that two brothers riding on a scooty died after being hit by a truck (JK05B 2629), news agency Kashmir Scroll reported.

The victims were identified as Shabir Ahmad Dar (30), and Adil Ahmad Dar (26), sons of Manzoor Ahmad of Reshipora Ahmedabad, DH Pora in Kulgam.

After medico-legal formalities, the bodies were handed over to the family while further investigation was taken up, officials said.

A woman was killed in a road mishap in the Maloora area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Thursday night.

An official said an elderly woman, identified as Sundri Begum, wife of Mohammad Ramzan, was critically injured after being hit by an unknown speeding vehicle. She was immediately taken to JVC Hospital, where doctors declared her “brought dead”, news agency Kashmir Scroll reported.

Police have taken cognizance and started an investigation.

A minor boy was killed while two others, including a woman, were injured in a road accident in the Delina area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday evening.

Reports from the news agency Kashmir Scroll stated that a speeding truck collided with a family of three on the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad national highway at Delina this evening, resulting in injuries to three individuals, including a minor boy and a woman.

All the injured were taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced the minor boy dead, while the others were hospitalized for further treatment. A police officer informed the news agency Kashmir Scroll that a case regarding the incident has been registered, and further investigation has been initiated.

The officer identified the deceased boy as Hamaad, son of Aijaz Ahmad Mungral (8 years old), while the injured were identified as Munaza Begum, wife of Aijaz Ahmad Mungral, and her husband, Aijaz Ahmad Mungral, all residents of Delina.
