Baramulla: Residents of Qazipora and adjoining areas of Tangmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district are urging the district administration to initiate the macadamization of roads in the region.

The concerned residents pointed out that the road resembles a riverbank during rainfall.

Previously, villagers had approached the civil administration to request the macadamization of the road. Despite assurances, locals allege that no progress has been made.

“This road was constructed decades ago and has since suffered from official neglect,” stated Iqbal Nabi, a local resident.

Residents claim that while other villages in the area have well-maintained tar-coated roads, their village has been left without proper macadamization.

“We want answers from the administration about the prolonged delay in upgrading our road. Despite the government’s claims of progress, there has been no tangible improvement in our village. We urge the administration to prioritize the repair and macadamization of our road,” the locals emphasized.
