Srinagar: Mohammad Moazzam Wani, son of Ghulam Jeelani Wani, Managing Editor of Kashmir Images passed away on April 21 at SMHS Hospital Srinagar.

A Tyndale Biscoe School student, 15-year-old Moazzam was a versatile athlete who made a mark in swimming, badminton and football.

Thousands attended his Nimaz-e-Jinazah at Eidgah Chandilora in Tangmarg on Sunday evening and he was laid to rest at the ancestral graveyard there.

The tragic incident has shocked family, friends, schoolmates teachers and the entire populace of Tangmarg.

Today, hundreds of people from all over Kashmir visited the bereaved family to mourn the tragic demise.

A Tyndale Biscoe School student, Moazzam was a versatile athlete who made a mark in swimming, badminton and football.

Principal Tyndale Biscoe & Mallinson School, Mabel Yonzon, on behalf of management, staff and students of the school expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.

“May God bless his soul and give you the courage to bear this irreplaceable loss,” the Principal wrote in a condolence message addressed to Mr and Mrs Ghulam Jeelani Wani.

The bereaved Ghulam Jeelani is the younger brother of JKPC leaders and former MLA Gulmarg, M Abbas Wani.

Meanwhile, JKPC leaders, Sajad Gani Lone, Molvi Imran Raza Ansari and Mohd Ashraf Mir; JKAP leaders, Ghulam Hassan Mir and Zaffar Iqbal Manhas; PDP leaders, Syed Suhail Bukhari and Shabir Ahmad Mir;  Showkat Ahmad Mir and Farooq Ahmad Shah of NC visited the bereaved family and extended their condolences.

The Fateh will be held on April 24 at Chandilora.
