Srinagar: A male dead body was found floating over the waters in River Jhelum in Srinagar district on Monday morning.
Quoting officials, the news agency Kashmir Scroll reported that a male dead body was sighted by some locals in Mujgund area in Shalteng Srinagar today morning, who intimated the authorities about it. A police officer reached the spot and shifted the body to SMHS Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
A case has been registered in this regard and further investigation initiated.
The officer later identified the dead body as that of Fayaz Ahmad Khan, son of Mohammad Shareef Khan of Khankah-e-Maula Srinagar.
