Srinagar: Police in Awantipora have arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesperson informed Saturday.
He said at Renzipora Crossing, police arrested a drug peddler identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Dar, son of Mohammad Akbar Dar, resident of Renzipora and recovered 630 grams of cannabis from his possession.
A case under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Awantipora in this regard.
