Srinagar: J&K Peoples Conference Spokesperson Adnan Ashraf Mir expressed his concern over delay in pending payments for contractors amounting to thousands of crores as the financial year draws to a close.

“With the financial year ending in a few hours, time is running out. Contractors play a crucial role in infrastructure development, and their timely payments are vital,” Mir said in a statement.

Mir stressed that despite numerous submissions & requisite demands made from time to time, these payments remain outstanding, posing a significant challenge to the contractors.

“The lackadaisical attitude of the administration cannot imperil the livelihoods of our contractors,” Mir asserted.

He further urged the Lt. Governor to intervene at the earliest in order to safeguard the interests of this adroit section of our society & promptly direct swift action to prevent the lapse of these critical funds.
