Srinagar: Police in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district have solved a burglary case and arrested six accused persons involved in it, officials said today.
Acting on a complaint of burglary, police after registering a case picked up six suspected persons who later on confessed their involvement in the commission of crime, police spokesperson said.
The accused were identified as Reyaz Ahmad Lone, son of Abdul Rashid Lone of Boh DH Pora; Mohammad Amin Wani, son of Mohammad Afzal Wani of DK Marg; Mohammad Amin Malik, son of Mohammad Jamal Malik of DK Marg; Mohammad Ishaq Malik, son of Asadullah Malik of Lalpur DK Marg; Mohammad Aslam Bargath, son of Mohammad Qasim Bargath of Rajouri, and Nazir Ahmad Lone, son of Abdul Gani Lone of Suilkhenan DK Marg.
Subsequently, all the six accused persons were arrested and shifted to Police Station Kulgam where they remain in custody. On their disclosure, stolen property including four stolen animals were recovered. Besides, vehicle (JK19A-1662) used in the commission of crime has also been seized.
Further investigation of the case is in progress as more arrests and recoveries are expected, police said.
