Srinagar: Four persons were killed and three others injured in different road accidents on Friday.
As per details, a man lost his life in an accident in the Keegam area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday evening.
An official said that a load carrier hit a motorcycle (JK22B-5234) at Keegam, resulting in the on-spot death of the motorcyclist Peerzada Feroz Ahmad, son of Ghulam Mustafa Shah of Babnad Tukroo Shopian.
In another incident, a girl — Mehak Jan, daughter of Abdul Rashid Khan of Kelam Devsar — was hit by an unknown vehicle near Qazigund Kulgam. She also died on the spot.
A vehicle skidded off the road near Ganeshpora bridge in Pahalgam area of Anantnag district, resulting in on spot death of Mudasir Ahmad Malik, son of Abdul Aziz Malik of Batkoot.
Two others — Tariq Ahmad Malik and Mudasir Ahmad Rather, both residents of Batkoot – were injured in this accident.
Reports said at Panthyal Magarkote, two trucks collided head-on, resulting in the death of a truck driver Surinder Kumar, a resident of Pathankot Punjab, while his helper was injured.
Police have registered cases in all these instances for investigation.
