DDC Ganderbal chairs DCC & DLRC meeting

GANDERBAL: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Shyambir, today chaired the District Level Review Committee (DLRC) and District Consultative Committee (DCC) of the district for taking a review of the performance related to 3rd quarter ending December 2023 of FY 2023-24.

Lead District Manager Ganderbal, Shabir A. Dar informed that the banks operating in the district have disbursed an amount of Rs 554.83 Crore in the priority sector against the annual target of Rs 654.44 crore @ 85% achievement and Rs 420.93 Crores in non-priority-sector-against-the-annual-target-of-Rs-224.62 of Rs 224.62 Crore @ 187% achievement.

It was informed that a total credit disbursement of Rs 975.76 crore has been made against the yearly target of Rs 879.06 crore registering an achievement of 111% of the annual credit plan for the 3rd quarter ending December 2023 of FY 2023-24.

The Lead District Manager informed that J&K Bank alone has disbursed Rs 512.20 crore under the priority sector and Rs 326.62 crore under the Non-priority sector showing an achievement of 86% contribution towards total credit dispensation in the district.

The DDC emphasized the need for improving the credit flow in Agriculture and allied sectors under the HADP plan.

District Credit Plan for FY 2024-25 envisaging a Credit outlay of Rs. 766.29 Crore under Priority Sector was also approved in the meeting. The performance with respect to social security schemes under Jansuraksha was also discussed and the chair emphasized the need for roping in the people under social security schemes with joint coordination of all concerned agencies.

Besides reviewing the performance of Banks and Govt. departments under various Schemes including SANKALP, KCC, PMEGP, and PM Kisan, the DDC directed the line agencies to sponsor quality cases and the Banks for speedy disposal of Govt. Sponsored cases.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani; AGM, RBI, Anoop Sharma; DDM, NABARD, Junaid Ahmad and District Coordinators of all the Banks, Govt. departments and other development agencies.
