Srinagar: Police have arrested two drug peddlers in Baramulla and recovered contraband substances from their possession, a police spokesperson informed Wednesday.
He said at a checkpoint at Noorbagh Crossing Wussan, police arrested one Mohammad Lateef Teli, son of Mohammad Yousuf of Ussan Khoie, after 3.1 Kgs of cannabis powder was recovered from his possession.
At Odina near Transit Accommodation, 130 grams of cannabis powder was recovered from the possession of a motorcyclist Mohammad Afzal Parray, son of Assadullah Parray of Batpora Wakura Ganderbal. Parray was arrested and his motorcycle seized, police said, adding cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at respective police stations for further investigations.
