Director Agriculture reviews works under HADP in Kulgam

SRINAGAR: The Director Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal, today conducted an extensive visit to different areas of Kulgam.

During the visit, the Director reviewed the progress on different works under the Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP). He also inaugurated a hi-tech polyhouse at Radwani Kulgam.

He inspected different under-construction hi-tech polyhouses in different areas of Kulgam District. He also visited the Bio ponic saffron corm production unit at Kulgam.

Speaking on the occasion, the Director highlighted the importance of different projects under (HADP). He said the projects under HADP have been designed in such a way that the small and marginal farmers could establish their own agriculture income-based units.

He acknowledged the significance of awareness among the farming community and asked the officers to sensitize and encourage the farmers to avail benefits of various projects under (HADP). He impressed upon them to put in all the efforts and ensure that all the set targets under different projects of (HADP) are achieved in a time-bound manner.

Chief agriculture officer Kulgam, Reyaz Ahmad Malik and other officers of the district were present on the occasion.
