SRINAGAR: Principal Secretary of the Agriculture Production Department, Shailendra Kumar, today chaired a meeting to review progress on the implementation of different schemes and programs of the Animal and Sheep Husbandry Departments in Kashmir.
The meeting was among others attended by the Director General of Sheep Husbandry, Kashmir, the Director of Animal Husbandry, Kashmir, Joint Directors and district officers of the twin departments.
The Principal Secretary took stock of various schemes such as the Rashtriya Gokul Mission (RGM), National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP), National Livestock Mission (NLM), Livestock Health and Disease Control (LH&DC), Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP) and other Capex schemes. He also had a detailed discussion on the annual action plans of these schemes for the next financial year.
He directed the officers to expedite the implementation of all schemes ensuring the timely utilisation of funds. Besides, various issues pertaining to these schemes were also deliberated upon in detail and directions for resolving them were given.
