DODA: The picturesque landscape of Lal Draman in Doda came alive today with a grand spectacle of the Snow Festival 2024, orchestrated by the Tejas-Ek Pahal Foundation.

Deputy Commissioner, Harvinder Singh graced the occasion as the chief guest, attracting throngs of eager attendees from Doda town and surrounding areas.

Notable persons including Deputy District Election Officer, ACD, ACP, Tehsildars Doda, Bhagwah, Bhaderwah, BDO Bhagwah and several other officers and officials adorned the event, enhancing its splendor.

The festival presented a myriad of activities catering to all tastes, ranging from snow sculpting and competitive sports like volleyball, kabaddi, and badminton and captivating cultural performances.

Amidst the festivities, the Election office Doda organised a SVEEP campaign, enlightening attendees especially Youth about the significance of exercising their voting rights and fostering electoral awareness. Two set of EVMs were placed at the venue along with training staff where youth and first time voters were imparted training & casted mock votes and verified the same through VVPAT slips, there by consolidating faith in great Indian democratic system.

Further an oath was also administered by the Deputy Commissioner (DEO) Doda to all attendees regarding casting votes in upcoming General Elections.

The event witnessed a remarkable turnout, drawing individuals of all ages from all areas of Doda district.

The enthusiastic participation of men, women, and children alike contributed to a lively and inclusive atmosphere, reinforcing the sense of community and camaraderie amidst the breathtaking snowy landscape in Lal Draman (Doda).

During the event, people enjoyed their day with snow games, cultural activities, local cuisine, and traditional games. Children, especially, reveled in the snow activities, adding to the overall joy and thrill of the festival. The whole environment was brimming with joy and excitement, creating unforgettable memories for one and all.
