Srinagar: Police in Kulgam have arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substances from his possession, a police spokesperson informed Saturday.
He said one Rizwan Ahmad Bhat, son of Mohammad Ayoub Bhat, resident of Furrah was arrested in the same area near Railway Bridge after 40 grams of cannabis and 2.2 Kgs of poppy straw were recovered from his possession.
A case has been registered for investigation, police said.
