Commissioner SMC reviews IT Projects, Municipal e-Services

SRINAGAR: The Commissioner SMC, Dr. Owais Ahmed, today conducted a comprehensive review of the IT Projects and Municipal e-Services undertaken by the Corporation.

During the review, the Commissioner emphasized the importance of leveraging technology to improve efficiency, transparency, and effectiveness in delivering citizen-centric services to the residents of Srinagar.

The IT projects were evaluated for their impact on enhancing citizen engagement, streamlining operations, and promoting a more sustainable and smart ecosystem.

Additionally, the Commissioner assessed the services provided by the Corporation to ensure that they meet the evolving needs of the citizens and uphold the highest standards of quality and responsiveness. The focus was on identifying areas for improvement and innovation to better serve the people of Srinagar.

Dr Owais expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far and reiterated the commitment of the SMC to continually enhance its IT capabilities and service delivery mechanism for the benefit of the citizens of Srinagar.

The Commissioner directed to shift over from conventional to smart methods by obtaining IT interventions in office culture and also directed all municipal e-Services be made functional, and capacity building/awareness should be generated among the general public for judicious use of these services.
