Srinagar: The body of a man who has been missing since November last year was retrieved from River Jhelum in the Parimpora area of Srinagar Friday afternoon, officials said.
They said an unidentified decomposed body was retrieved from the river, and later police identified it as that of Farooq Ahmed Wani, son of Ghulam Qadir Wani, resident of Karfali Mohalla Shalla Kadal Srinagar. Wani has been missing since November 23, 2023.
Further investigation in this regard has been taken up.
