Srinagar: NIA court in Pulwama on Tuesday declared Ashiq Ahmed Nengroo, son of Ghulam Ahmed Nengroo of Hanjan Bala, a proclaimed offender on the application moved by Pulwama Police.
News agency Kashmir Scroll reported that Ashiq Nengroo alias Molvi is also declared as “Individual Terrorist” by MHA in the year 2022.
It quoted a senior police officer as saying that Nengroo had managed to exfiltrate to PoK in the year 2018 and “is currently carrying out anti-national activities from PoK and is luring the local youths to terrorism.”
He is involved in many terrorism-related cases, police said.
“After exfiltrating to PoK, he has managed many drone droppings, weapons’ delivery and hawala money to keep the terrorist activities alive in the UT,” the police officer said.
