DC Kupwara reviews preparations for ‘Viksit Bharat, Viksit JK’ prog

KUPWARA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan, on Saturday chaired a review-cum-preparedness meeting to assess the groundwork for the upcoming ‘Viksit Bharat: Viksit Jammu Kashmir’ programme, scheduled to be held on 20th, February 2024 at 24 locations across the district.

The meeting reviewed the action plan and preparations for ensuring the seamless and successful conduct of ‘Viksit Bharat, Viksit Jammu Kashmir’ at all venues including MC Hall Kupwara, MC Hall Handwara, Teetwal, Keran, Machil and other block headquarters where VCs are scheduled to be held.

During the meeting, the DC directed officers to make fool-proof arrangements for the upcoming events and ensure utmost coordination at different levels for the smooth and successful conduct of the programme in the Kupwara district.

She further directed concerned officers to ensure seamless connectivity during the main function as connectivity is the key.

BDOs were directed to keep the venues by 17 February and ensure the installation of TV Screens, web cameras, Power backup, uniform seating arrangements, proper decorum and discipline during the programme, and also ensure the readiness of the venues in every respect by 19th February.

She also directed BDOs and CDPOs to conduct the rehearsals on 18th and 19th February.

DC asked officers to identify alternative locations for open venues in case of expected snowfall.

The meeting was attended by ADC Kupwara, Muhammad Rouf Rehman; PO ICDS, Hakeem Tanveer; ACD Kupwara, Mohammad Muzaffar; ACP, Mudasir Ahmad Wani and all Nodal officers.
