Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Party President and Member of the Parliament from Srinagar, Dr Farooq Abdullah, on Thursday exhorted the party functionaries to build on the traditions of the party and work determinedly to make it stronger at the grassroots levels.
He, according to the NC spokesperson, said this while interacting with the party functionaries here at the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha, Srinagar.
Emphasising on strengthening the party, Dr. Farooq asked the party functionaries to work on the trajectory of making the party stronger on the ground to take on the challenges to people’s identity, and democratic rights.
“We as a vibrant political organisation have to adapt to the change. Organisational unity, uninterrupted communication with people and grass root level management are the major areas for the party to work upon at this moment. There is a great need to have intermittent reviews of parties working at the district, Halqa and Zone levels. Communication is the real weapon in politics. Our functionaries have to improvise aggressively on this front and utilize it in campaigns and reach out to all segments including fence-sitters,” he said.
The party president directed the party leaders and functionaries to ensure they continue to be accessible to the people and work day and night to ameliorate the lives of their constituents.
