Ganai lauded the government for extending reservation benefits to SCs, STs and OBCs in the Union territory, saying, government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has done a lot of good work for people and she has been impressed with his philosophy of ‘sabka saath sabka vikas’.

While welcoming Ganai into the party fold, Chugh said that many more leaders from different parties are going to join BJP in coming days.

“The government, under the able leadership of Narendra Modi has transformed Jammu and Kashmir. The place that was ridiculed as ‘terrorism capital’ by earlier regimes, has emerged as a vibrant ‘tourism capital’ of the country,” Chugh said.

Talking about the inclusion of Paharis and others into ST category, Chugh said that it is a historic decision taken by the Prime Minister and will help these marginalised communities to compete in every field.
