Srinagar: Police have arrested three drug peddlers in Baramulla and recovered contraband substances from their possession, a police spokesperson informed Saturday.
He said two persons — Mohammad Aqib Ganie, son of Ghulam Mohammad Ganie of Takiya Tapper, and Jahangir Ahmad Ganie, son of Ghulam Ahmad Ganie, resident of Rengi – were arrested at Tapper after three kgs of cannabis powder was recovered from their possession.
At Baghat Butpora Sopore, one Aijaz Ahmad Najar, son of Ghulam Din Najar of Mumkak Butpora Sopore, was arrested and 13 bottles of Codeine Phosphate syrup were recovered from his possession.
Cases have been registered in respective police stations for further investigation, police said.
