Ganderbal: A 57-year-old woman was found dead in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Friday afternoon, sources said.
Quoting sources, news agency Kashmir Scroll reported that her body was recovered from the Power Canal at Haknar Gund area of Kangan by some locals, who informed the police. The body was retrieved from n the canal and taken to nearby Kangan hospital for medical formalities.
The body was later found as that of Haseena Begam, an Anganwari worker. Police said a case has been registered in this regard and further investigation initiated.
