MD NHM, Principal GMC Sgr review functioning of Tele MANAS Cell

SRINAGAR: Mission Director, National Health Mission, J&K, Nazim Zai Khan, along with Principal Govt. Medical College Srinagar Dr Tanvir Masood, reviewed the functioning of the Tele-MANAS Cell at the Centre of Excellence, Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (IMHANS), Government Medical College here today.

On the occasion, the Mission Director and Principal GMC interacted with the consultants and counsellors working in the Tele-MANAS Cell and also had a live demonstration of the working of the call centre.

They also conducted an extensive tour of the IMHANS (Centre of Excellence), established through financial support from the Govt. Of India and reviewed the infrastructure, interventions and innovations being implemented there. They also took feedback from the faculty members to improve the services being delivered to the patients and beneficiaries.

The Mission Director assured all possible support to the Tele-Manas Cell/ IMHANS.

Principal GMC on the occasion extended gratitude to the Mission Director, NHM for his maiden visit to the Centre of Excellence.

Among others present during the visit were Professor IMHANS /Nodal Officer Tele-MANAS, Dr Arshid Hussain; Professor IMHANS Srinagar, Dr Zaid Ahmad Wani; Divisional Nodal Officer/Programme Manager Mental Health NHM, J&K, Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Dar and other faculty members of the IMHANS.
