Commr Secy Tourism reviews projects under Swadesh Darshan 1.0, PMDP, UT Capex Budget

JAMMU: Commissioner Secretary of the Tourism Department, Yasha Mudgal, today chaired a meeting to review the execution of projects under Swadesh Darshan 1.0, PMDP and UT Capex Budget.

The meeting had threadbare discussion on various issues including the smooth transfer of records from the Tourism department to concerned executive engineers, prioritizing completion of development projects being executed under the Swadesh Darshan scheme, status of Parmandal Utterbehni DPR sanctioned under the PARSAD scheme, resolution of issues related to funds disbursement for project entrusted to JKPCC, opening and mapping of zero balance accounts by R&B divisions besides other matters.

The Commissioner Secretary asked the concerned officers to assess the current pace of work execution and identify areas for improvement. She also asked them to review the submission of the revised estimated UT Capex budget project.

Yasha Mudgal directed the officers to ensure the completion of all projects being executed under Swadesh Darshan 1.0, PMDP and CAPEX budget within the stipulated timeframe. She asked the HoDs and executive agencies to submit a status report regarding the present status of all their projects with complete details of physical and financial achievement.

The Commissioner Secretary instructed the engineers to review the status of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) preparation for UT CAPEX budget projects. She emphasized the importance of completion of DPRs, processing of approvals and tendering before the working season.

Yasha Mudgal asked the officers to withdraw the projects on which work has not started yet. She also directed the officers to ensure the transfer of records by Friday of this week besides asking the Chief Engineers of both divisions to ensure the completion of all formalities requisite to take over the projects.

Secretary PWD, Bhupinder Kumar, briefed the meeting about various crucial aspects of these vital projects while highlighting the strategies being adopted for expeditious completion of these works under the Swadesh Darshan scheme, the PRASAD scheme.

Among others, the meeting was attended by Directors of Tourism, Kashmir and Jammu, Managing Director of J&K Development Corporation, Managing Director Cable Corporation, Managing Director JKPCC, Chief Engineers Central, North and South Kashmir, Chief Engineer Peerpanchal, Chenab Zone and Jammu Zone, Director Finance Tourism Department, Additional Secretary Tourism Department, Chief Executive Officer of all the Tourism Development Authorities and other concerned officers while Kashmir based officers participated virtually.
