JAMMU: The 7th edition of Parkisha Pe Charcha (PPC), held today at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi, where Prime Minister, Narendra Modi interacted with the students, teachers and parents, witnessed an overwhelming response across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Special arrangements were made by the school education department in all the schools and prominent places to witness the historical event with special screening arrangements made in schools at district headquarters.

Member Parliament Jugal Kishore; Secretary School Education, Dr. Piyush Singla; Project Director Samagra Shiksha Deep Raj; Director School Education Jammu, Ashok Sharma; Director Finance, SED Iftikhar Hussain; CEO Jammu, besides Coordinators/ASCs and teachers at Teacher Bhawan here.

The vibrant atmosphere at the Teachers Bhawan Auditorium and SCERT’ Auditorium at Srinagar, was also visible with a jam-packed gathering of enthusiastic students, teachers and parents.

Interacting with media on the sidelines of the event, Member of Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma said that PPC is acting as a catalyst in boosting the students to face the challenges of life. He said that it is a kind of golden opportunity for the students that the Hon’ble Prime Minister is providing them with motivation for becoming a responsible citizen. He added that Pariksha Pe Charcha 2024 stood as a testament to creating a harmonious atmosphere in the education sector.

Briefing the media, the Secretary informed that for a seamless experience for viewers across all schools of UT and educational offices, special arrangements were made. In 3600 Schools having the ICT Lab facility, the programme was screened, where the students of the neighbourhood Schools also took part, he added.

He also informed that, across the UT, large Screens/LED Walls were arranged and programme was screened and watched by students at large. Two Students namely Rukhsana Bano of Reasi District and Kartaywya Bhagat of Jammu District were selected for live interaction in New Delhi, he said.

Dr. Singla further said, “Pariksha Pe Charcha 2024 is not just an event, it is a collective commitment for creating a transformative, stress-free educational experience for the students and today’s interaction is a significant step in nurturing an environment where each student can unfold his/her unique potential. He reiterated that this unique initiative of PM aims to bring together the students, parents, teachers and society to create an environment that values and supports each child’s unique qualities.

The Secretary added that this movement was inspired by the PM’s influential and popular book Exam Warrior and strives to cultivate a stress-free atmosphere for young minds, bringing together students, parents, teachers and society. PPC gives a platform where the unique individuality of each child is celebrated, encouraged, and allowed to express itself fully, he maintained.
