SRINAGAR: Government College of Education (Institute of Advanced Studies in Education) M. A. Road, Srinagar today celebrated the 75th Republic Day with great patriotism and enthusiasm at its campus.
The ceremony was marked by the unfurling of the National Flag by the Principal, Professor (Dr) Seema Naaz who took the salute.
The ceremony was attended by the College employees including teaching, non-teaching and students.
In her address, the Principal of the host college congratulated the participants on the 75th Republic Day celebrations and said that it was on this day in 1950 that the constitution became effective.
She also said that Educational Institutions have a pivotal role to play in the development of the country.
