Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee on Monday held a strong protest against the relentless attacks on Bharat Jody Naya Yatra by BJP goons on the directions of the Assam Chief Minister and demanded the dismissal of the State Govt for trying to disrupt the Yatra.

JKPCC President Vikar Rasool Wani led the Congress leaders and workers to protest against the Assam Govt for attacks on Bharat Jodo Naya Convoys, properties and leaders using its goons to stop the Yatra, which has fully exposed the anti-people and wrong policies, especially BJPs fascism and hooliganism unleashed to strangulate the Indian democracy.

Congress leaders and workers in larger numbers led by Vikar Rasool Wani held strong protests against the ruling BJP in Assam for attacking Yatra Convoys and started marching towards the Lal Chowk area of Srinagar from the Party Office in a peaceful manner, but the heavy contingent of police deployed within and outside Party Office locked the front gate and pushed them back.

Speaking on the occasion, Wani termed the attack on Bharat Jodo Naya Yatra a blatant attempt to stop the Yatra which is an assault on the federal structure of the country and an assault on the Indian democratic system. “Congress Party shall not tolerate such anti-democratic moves, it will continue to fight against vendetta politics unleashed by the BJP.”

Wani said that since the entry of the Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi in Assam, the tainted and most corrupt CM has been carrying out relentless attacks on the convoys and Congress Leaders participating in the Yatra, which is a matter that every citizen of the country must take seriously and condemn such hooliganism in strongest words. “Rahul Gandhi’s fight for justice, discrimination and vendetta politics will continue undeterred and the Yatra will move on, which is spreading a message of peace and harmony across the country.”

JKPCC Chief said that every Congress worker will remain standing behind Rahul Gandhi declaring that no power on earth can stop this Yatra, which is against the hate, divisive policies and injustice by Modi Govt. Congress Party can’t be cowed down, Wani added and said we are neither scared of Modi Govt nor the BJP which has been feeling frustrated since the Yatra entered Assam.

JKPCC Chief lashed out at the CM over the attack on Congress workers and cautioned that such designs are fraught with consequences. We believe in peace, love and justice that is the message Yatra is spreading across the country.

JKPCC Chief appealed to people across the board to rise to the occasion and condemn the intimidation and attacks on Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Naya Yatra in the strongest words.

Among others who participated in the protest included Senior Congress Leader Peerzada Mohd Sayeed, Sr.Vice President Mohd Anwar Bhat, Vice Presidents, Abdul Gani Khan, Nissar Ahmad Mundoo, Mahila Congress President Shameema Raina, General Secretaries Mir Ruvais, Irfan Naqashbandi, Shameema Iqbal, Master Mohd Maqbool Sr. Leader Mushtaq Ahmad Bazaz, District Presidents Imtiyaz Ahmad Khan, Adv. Farooq Ahmad Sheikh, Er. Muzaffar Dar, PCC Secretaries Dr Fayaz, Muzaffar Shah, Asif Ahmad Beigh, Shamema Khan, Mahila, Youth and hundreds of Congress workers participated in the peaceful protest.
