Srinagar: Police have arrested two drug peddlers in Kulgam and recovered contraband substance from their possession, a police spokesman informed Tuesday.
He said at Bypass Kulgam near Chatabal Bridge police intercepted and later arrested Mohammad Sadiq Waza, son of Ghulam Muhammad Waza, resident of Ziyaratgali Kulgam, and Bashir Ahmad Sheikh, son of Gull Mohammad Sheikh, resident of Chawalgam, after seven kgs of grinded cannabis powder was recovered from their possession.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Kulgam for further investigation, police said.
