Secretary Health conducts surprise inspection of DH Shopian

SHOPIAN: Secretary of Health & Medical Education, Dr Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, today conducted a surprise inspection of the District Hospital, Shopian, to assess the healthcare facilities being provided there to the ailing besides reviewing the functioning of the institute.

Secretary visited different wards, Operation Theatre, Diagnostic Units and OPDs of the hospital and interacted with patients and attendants. He sought their feedback on the quality of services and healthcare facilities being provided at the hospital.

While interacting with medical and paramedical staff, he called upon them to provide enhanced healthcare services and facilities to the people visiting the hospital with kindness and compassion.

Dr Abid Rasheed emphasized that the health sector is one of the topmost priorities of the government and numerous innovative measures are being taken up to provide the best of the services to the people.

He also had a discussion on several issues being faced by the hospital in ensuring smooth patient care including infrastructural constraints.

The Secretary was briefed about the latest milestones achieved by the hospital management including operationalization of CT Scan.

During the visit, the Secretary was accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, Faz Lul Haseeb, Director of Health Services, Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad and other officers of the health department.
