Commissioner SMC tours Downtown areas of Srinagar

SRINAGAR: The Commissioner of Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC)/ CEO, SSCL, Dr Owais Ahmed, today took a spot review of the ongoing redevelopment in downtown areas of Srinagar city including the historic Old Habba Kadal Bridge.

The CEO of SSCL was accompanied by the Chief Engineer of SSCL, Executive Engineers, Assistant Executive Engineers, and senior officials from SSCL and SMC. The CEO personally evaluated the progress at the site.

The primary goal of the visit was to assess the current status of the redevelopment and ensure its timely and successful completion.

The Old Habba Kadal Bridge’s renovation is an integral part of the broader Smart City initiatives aimed at modernizing and revitalizing key infrastructure in Srinagar. SSCL remains dedicated to delivering top-notch urban development projects that elevate the city’s livability and economic potential.
