Srinagar: The Srinagar Smart City Electric Bus Service, inaugurated by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, has garnered a positive response from locals, witnessing a remarkable milestone of ferrying 5 lakh passengers within the first 60 days of its launch.

Sources said that more and more people in Srinagar prefer bus travel as it is comfortable, decent and hassle-less.

The service was launched on November 01, 2023, by the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.

This bus service has eased our travel troubles. We are happy, said a resident from Narbal, which falls in district Budgam but is in the outskirts of Srinagar and thus enjoys the bus service.

While appreciating the service, commuters urge the administration to add to the fleet of buses besides ensuring the timings.

“They need to have a strict time schedule that should be fixed keeping in mind the government employees and students,” said a resident of Srinagar.
