Chief Secretary releases heritage calendar of Radio Sharda

JAMMU: Chief Secretary, Atal Dulloo, today released the calendar of Radio Sharda, 90.4 FM devoted to the promotion of local culture and traditions here.

On the occasion, the Chief Secretary maintained that the LG administration is committed to the preservation, promotion and popularization of the local culture and its values. He also applauded the role of the society that is running this FM Radio here which helps transfer the old rich culture from one generation to another.

The society ‘Pir Panchal’ that owns this station also felicitated the Chief Secretary for assuming this highest seat of administration here. They also apprised him about the role the society is playing besides the popularity of Radio Sharda among the displaced Kashmiri Pandits here in Jammu.

It is worthwhile to mention here that this year’s calendar has a theme based on the ancient heritage temple of ShardaMandir at Teetwal in district Kupwara located close to the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir.
