Lucknow: Stating that Bharat was on its way to realising the full potential of welfare schemes with ‘Viksit Bharat SankalpYatra’ (VBSY),an incredibly well-crafted approach for reaching out to the masses, Utter PradeshAdditional Chief Secretary – Agriculture, DeveshChaturvedi, Tuesday, lauded the efforts of all stake holders in this mission. He was interacting with a team of journalist who arrived here from Jammu and Kashmir on a five day ‘VBSY’ tour organised by Press Information Bureau, Srinagar in collaboration withPIBLucknow.
On the first day of the media tour, the 13-member team from various media organizations, had a detailed interaction with Chaturvedaand were briefed about the promotion of central schemes and governments resolve to bringing themto the masses. The team of journalists was led by the PIB Lucknow and officials of PIB Srinagar as part of its endeavour to boost inter-state media coverage of VBSY.
While talking to the journalists, DeveshChaturvediinformed that 604 campaign vehicles were running in the rural areas of the state of Utter Pradesh under the VBSY and till now programs have been organized in more than 39 thousand gram panchayats. “So far, more than 2 crore 70 lakh people have participated in these programs and camps organized here,” he added.
Giving further details, he said that till now VBSY programs have been organized at 1166 places in urban areas in which on an average 1500 people are participating, taking the total number to more than 16 lakh. “24 lakh Ayushman cards have been made in Uttar Pradesh through the camps organized during the programs of VBSY,” he added.
He informed that the number of beneficiaries availing the benefits of multiple schemes in one family has increased through the programs of Vikas Bharat Yatra. He said that today crores of families in the country are able to fulfill all the basic needs required for a respectable living through various government agencies.
Giving further details about the prospects of the VBSY, hefurther added that more than 1 lakh 74 thousand new beneficiaries joined the PradhanMantriUjjwalaYojana in the camps conducted during the SankalpYatra in the state. Ayushman cards were distributed to more than 28 lakh 5 thousand beneficiaries.
Pertinent to mention that after the country-wide yatra was flagged off by Prime Minister NarendraModi from Khunti, Jharkhand on 15 November 2023, more than 43 lakh 41 thousand people have benefited from various rural government schemes in the state of Utter Pradesh, He said adding that out of the beneficiaries, more than 2 lakh 47 thousand people have registered their success stories in ‘MeriKahani, MeriJuwani’.Giving details about ‘One Nation One Ration Card’initiative that works on biometrics, Chaturvedi said that people have benefited immensely fromit and the way of life had become easier.
Lauding the government’s vigorous welfare vision, he said that a lot of facilities were extended to the farmers in the field of agriculture under various schemes that have transformed the lives of farmers across India as well as in Utter Pradesh. Giving an example, he said that the farmers of Barabanki are becoming prosperous just like those who cultivate saffron in Kashmir. He said that every house is getting pure water from tap water and people’s diseases have reduced. He said that most of the schemes in Uttar Pradesh have achieved their target.
