Dr Farooq Abdullah visits injured civilians in Rajouri

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah, who is on a two-day visit to Pir Panjal region today visited civilians injured in the aftermath of the Bafliaz attack at Government Hospital Rajouri. Party’s senior leader Mian Altaf Ahmad, Pir Panjal Zone President Javed Rana and YNC Provincial President Jammu Aijaz Jan accompanied him.

Joined by senior party leaders and several of the party’s local unit functionaries, he prayed for swift and complete recovery of all those who had sustained grave injuries in the tragic incident.

Earlier senior party leader Mian Altaf Ahmad and Zone President Pir Panjal Javed Rana visited the bereaved families, whose loved ones were killed in the tragic incident. The duo expressed heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved & prayed for peace to the departed souls.

During his visit to the hospital, Dr Farooq inquired about the underway treatment being given to the injured in the hospital.

He impressed upon the district administration to ensure the best medical treatment for the injured.

Consoling the victim’s families, he strongly condemned the incident and said that there was no place for such incidents in any society. He also reiterated the party’s demand for an impartial and time-bound judicial probe into the incident.

Dr Farooq appealed to the government and law enforcement agencies to take concrete and effective measures to prevent the recurrence of such incidents of gross human rights violations. He further said that he would raise this issue in Parliament and would try his level best to draw the attention of the government towards the incident.
