Separately, two drug peddlers were arrested with contraband substances, the spokesman said.

He said at a checkpoint established at Kachwa Muqam Chandoosa, police intercepted and later arrested Sakib Rashid, son of Abdul Rashid of Kanispora, and Zeeshan Ali, son of Ali Mohammad Malik of Delina Baramulla, after 60 grams of cannabis-like contraband substance was recovered from their possession.

Four more drug peddlers were arrested in Kulgam district in south Kashmir, police said.
