BUDGAM: Consumer Commission Budgam has ordered the Insurance Company to Pay Rs. 3,88,431 along with 9% interest from 11-10-2012 (i.e. three Months from the date of receipt of the survey Assessment report) till final payment and also Rs. 10,000 as costs of litigation to Consumer.
In a significant order on 27-12-2023, the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (DCDRC) Budgam headed by Noor-ul Amin Bhat (President) and Rukhsana Farooq (Member) while disposing of a consumer complaint, ordered Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company Ltd. to pay an amount of Rs. 3,88,431 along with 9% interest per Annum from 11-10-2012 (i.e. three months from the date of receipt of the survey assessment Report) till final payment and also Rs. 10,000/= as costs of litigation to the complainant Syed Yunus Pervaiz resident of Kaitch Razgeer Budgam Prop. M/S Sahil Communication.
The complainant’s insurance Claim against his insured stocks had been repudiated by the insurance company much before receipt of the survey assessment report. The whole award Amount has been ordered to be paid within six weeks.
