Research methodology empowers meaningful contribution to respective fields: Experts

Srinagar: The Centre of Central Asian Studies (CCAS), Kashmir University (KU) Friday concluded a comprehensive weeklong research methodology workshop in Social Sciences here. 

Students, scholars and experts representing diverse academic disciplines participated in the workshop.

Highlighting the significance of research methodology, Dean Research, KU, Prof Irshad Ahmad Nawchoo, underscored its pivotal role in fostering academic growth and innovation. 

“Research methodology forms the bedrock of scholarly pursuits, empowering individuals to navigate and contribute meaningfully to their respective fields,” Prof Nawchoo said.

Director and workshop convenor, Prof Tabasum Firdous, emphasised the critical importance of research methodology in shaping the academic landscape. 

“Understanding research methodology is imperative for conducting robust, insightful research that contributes to the broader knowledge domain,” Prof Firdous said.

The weeklong sessions encompassed a spectrum of topics, spanning from fundamental concepts to the pragmatic application of research methods.

The interactions among participants and faculty members showcased the workshop’s widespread resonance and its role in enhancing research acumen. 

The workshop culminated with a comprehensive review of the week’s activities.

Acknowledging their commendable engagement and achievements throughout the workshop, the participants were presented with certificates. 

Workshop Coordinator, Dr Abid Gulzar thanked both the experts and students for their commitment and fervour in making the workshop a fruitful experience.

Faculty at CCAS, KU, Dr Aejaz Ahmad Wani, conducted the proceedings of the workshop.
