Govt a failure on every conceivable matrix: Tanvir Sadiq
FacebookTwitterWhatsapp

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Chief Spokesperson and In Charge Constituency Zadibal Tanvir Sadiq on Monday accused the incumbent administration of failing on every conceivable metric, saying every single citizen has had to pay a heavy price for the rampant misgovernance.

Tanvir, according to the NC spokesperson, said this while addressing a party meeting at Dhobi Gath Dargah in Fisherman Colony today.

Dozens of political and social activists belonging to different political parties joined the party fold on the occasion. Block President resident Mushtaq Baig, Block Secretary Ghulam Rasool, and Youth Leader Shahid Kitab were also present in the meeting.

In his address, Tanvir said, “The government in New Delhi & Srinagar has been harping on bringing development and progress to Jammu and Kashmir. The situation on the ground however is contrary to their claims. The state affairs with regard the basic utility services have gone from bad to worse, the government has even failed to ensure steady power and electricity supply to consumers. While Kashmir is grappling with the worst-ever power crisis, leading to 12 to 16-hour outages every day, the government continues to remain clueless. It is astonishing that despite assurances from authorities, the situation has not only failed to improve but has taken a turn for the worse, casting the region into prolonged darkness.”

He further added, “They vowed to give jobs to every youth, to bring investment, provide administration comfort to ailing handicraft and tourism sectors. The rollout is missing on the ground and the goalposts have moved. With another year without a democratically elected government nearing an end, the government’s targets are nowhere in sight.”

Welcoming the new entrants into the party fold, Tanvir said that he was hopeful that the new joining will help strengthen the party on the ground. He exhorted the party functionaries to enhance the ongoing public outreach programme.

Meanwhile, JKUM ex-Block President and BDC Chairman Wakura Ghulam Mohammad Malla along with Sarpanch Batwini B Abdul Majeed Wani, Sarpanch Mohammad Ashraf Bhat, Shabir Ahmad Mir (Panch) with other Social Activists joined J&K National Conference.

The joining programme was organised by Constituency Incharge Ganderbal Sheikh Gayas-ud-Din.

The event witnessed the presence of Party Additional General Secretary Dr Mustafa Kamal, Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq, Central Zone Secretary Ali Mohammad Dar, State Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar, Provincial Secretary Advocate Showkat Mir, Incharge Constituency Sonawari Hilal Akbar Lone, PP Women’s wing Sabiya Qadri, YNC Zone President Central Kashmir Mir Mushtaq.

Welcoming the new entrants, the party functionaries hoped that the new entrants would strengthen the party at the grassroots level.
