SRINAGAR: The Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri today chaired a meeting to discuss the preparation and revision of annual market value guidelines and rates for the upcoming calendar year.
The meeting was attended by all Deputy Commissioners, ACR Central, and other officers from the revenue department.
The meeting deliberated over the annual proposal of enhancing stamp duty of land of different natures including agriculture, horticulture, commercial and residential.
Div Com on the occasion stressed that the increment should be justified with the growth of the economy and compatible with existing guidelines.
He asked them to notify the area-wise rates for the public information and knowledge.
The DCs informed the meeting about the increase in the percentage of stamp duty in their respective districts considering relevant factors of the market.
