VBSY: Commr Secy Floriculture seeks public feedback on CSSs at Kulgam

KULGAM: Commissioner Secretary Floriculture, Gardens and Parks, Sheikh Fayaz Ahmad, today visited Kulgam where he participated in ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ at Devsar.

Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din-Bhat, ADDC, Showkat Ahmad Rather, ACR, Mir Imtiyaz-ul-Aziz, ACD Mohammad Imran and other officers and officials of line departments also attended the programme.

The programme witnessed overwhelming public participation.

The Commissioner Secretary inspected stalls set up by various departments to educate the people about their schemes and programmes. The departments had also established on-spot registration counters on the occasion.

Comm Secretary interacted with locals besides taking feedback from beneficiaries about the implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) in the area.

The ‘Hamaara Sankalp Viksit Bharat’ pledge was taken by the participants and video messages of the Prime Minister and other promotional videos were also screened on the IEC van in the presence of the Commissioner Secretary.

Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner Secretary said that the focus of the Yatra is to reach out to the people, creating awareness and providing benefits of welfare schemes. He added that the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is proving to be a one-stop solution for people to get themselves enrolled and benefit from different welfare schemes.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated departments for conducting the Yatra programmes successfully and highlighted the impacts and benefits of reaching out to the people through such outreach programs.

The students also presented colourful and scintillating cultural programmes and theme-based skits.

Later, the students and eco-guards were felicitated by the Commissioner’s Secretary during the function.
