Central IHM Sgr announces All India Essay & Quiz Competition for Class 11th & 12th students

Srinagar: Central Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Srinagar, in partnership with the National Council for Hotel Management & Ministry of Tourism, GOI, is launching an essay competition for students in Jammu & Kashmir (UT).

The competition invites Class 11th and 12th students to participate in an essay writing contest on the theme, “Hospitality Education in India & Role of IHMs in Career Building.” Essays should range between 700 to 800 words which can be written either in Hindi or English. Submissions are accepted until January 8, 2024, via https://nchmnoida.com.

Cash prizes worth Rs 1,00,000, Rs 50,000, and Rs 20,000 await the top three winners, accompanied by Golden Plaques. Exceptional essays forwarded to the National Council will receive cash rewards and certificates. 

Additionally, a school-level quiz competition themed around “India Tourism, Hospitality, Heritage & Culture” is open for teams of two students. The first contest will be held at IHM Srinagar and then at New Delhi, and NCHM&CT Noida. 

Prizes totalling Rs 1,00,000, Rs 50,000, and Rs 20,000 are set for the top three teams, along with individual Golden Plaques. Consolation prizes of Rs 10,000 and certificates await all final participating teams.

The initiative aims to nurture talent among Class 11th & 12th students in the hospitality and tourism sector, offering substantial rewards and recognition.
