SRINAGAR: The Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri Thursday reviewed the progress on the Comprehensive Sewerage Scheme in Zone-III of Greater Srinagar under the Languishing Scheme of erstwhile JnNURM executed by H&UDD/UEED.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Engineers of PHE, PWD Central, the General Manager of NBCC, officers of SMC and representatives of the area.
The meeting was informed that the Trunk Sewer Line has been 99 percent completed while the Lateral Sewer Line has been entirely completed, besides, 60 MLD STP is near completion with 98% work already done.
It was further informed that due to the non-availability of fronts for the Trunk Sewer Line at 90 feet road for shifting of 16 Shops and re-alignment of PHE pipes at Alamgari Bazar, the remaining work is pending completion.
On the occasion, Div Com directed concerned officers to speed up the execution of work so that the concerned area does not face inconvenience due to water logging.
He enjoined the concerned to make arrangements for providing electricity to ensure the operation of the STP.
He also instructed for the completion of the rehabilitation process of shopkeepers so that the remaining segment of the Sewer Line is completed.
